The trick to making a smoothie with staying power is making sure there is some protein included. Here are some of my delicious favorites that pack a powerful protein and nutrient punch:

Green Goddess Smoothie
2 servings

• 1 cup Vanilla Silk Soymilk or Almond Milk
• 2 cups baby kale or spinach
• 1 cucumber or ½ English cucumber (peeled)
• 1 frozen banana (cut into chunks before freezing)
• 1-2 scoops Meijer vanilla soy protein powder (optional)
• 1 cup ice

Combine all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.

Nutrition information per serving: 148 calories, 6g protein, 28g carbohydrate, 2g total fat, 0mg cholesterol, 80mg sodium, 4g fiber, vitamin A 216%, vitamin C 147%, calcium 34%, iron 12%

Blueberry Almond Smoothie
2 servings

• 1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
• 1-1/2 cups coconut milk or Silk Almond Milk
• 1 small avocado
• 2 teaspoons True Goodness by Meijer Honey
• ¼ cup raw almonds
• 6 ice cubes

Combine all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.

Banana Berry Smoothie
2 servings

• Banana, peeled and sliced
• 2 cups True Goodness by Meijer frozen strawberries or raspberries
• 1 cup milk
• 1 container Greek vanilla yogurt (approx. 5-6 oz.)
• 1/2 cup True Goodness by Meijer orange juice
• 2 to 3 tablespoons True Goodness by Meijer honey or to taste

Combine all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth
